P1120618 - Carved and Neapolitan (round-backed) mandolin, fret's eye view. Learnt to play it a little many years ago, was my grandfather's. Wish I had continued, but without any one to teach me gave it up. (Didn't have the internet back then, lessons here www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeT08B8iMDY&feature=related) They have eight strings and at the time of learning no one understood how to get the right noise out the double strings.
