The woods is like a war zone, chainsaw massacrer or what must be coming up for a year these guys have been thinning.
You need to remember that the forest canopy is to maintain Red Squirrels, man there must be a new breed or perhaps they have some DNA modification. Thinning is one thing mass cropping is another, leaving a sustainable forest is another.
The woods (the five sections of the forest) has systemically been thinned so much so that the Red Squirrels wood need to jump 15 - 20 between the twigs of two trees.

Putting all that to one side, they have managed to churn most of the walk ways up, put hydraulic fluid here and there and there seems to be other oils here and there. Then if they haven't managed to churn or pollute, they have put clay on the forest floor from some crazy pond scheme they have.
