LR-18414 - Ok nothing new to see apart from a few Calyptrae missing and the Sporophyte in the process of a new Zygote being created, does the of alternation of generations mean that spring is here or just another cycle is taking place :) Who knows
The reproductive life cycle of Moss aside, I received a new piece of equipment today, it has been on back order for nearly six months. Quite pleased with the results considering it only cost 4% of the lens I was looking at to do the job with !
Canon EOS 7D
Lens Model: EF-S15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
It is not a filter, so I'll let you work it out
Compared to images in comments.
The new tool is a set of Opteka Canon fit extension tubes which also facilitate all the lens controls AF, IS, USM so probably more control when out walking the dogs (I hope), test shots yesterday did highlight the need for light as the lens has a f3.5 minimum. Cost £57, lens to get similar results just a little under £1,500 to my knowledge.
Previous shots as in comments; from the set of Helios 42mm extension tubes, which requires a 42mm lens on the sharp end. Manual focus & f stop without IS or USM, (the 42mm stuff gets down to f2 more like f0.). Most of my shots in the last few months have been hand held so probably a 1:3 success rate on the macro stuff, hoping to improve the hit rate a little at least.
