The train used to be at platform 3 (Cinematic cut - well as close as I could get), originally uploaded by Rusty Marvin (feel free to comment) aka WYSIWYG.
P1190248 - rework - Old enough to remember boarding a steam pull train with slam doors from platform 3. The view is of Ryde from the pier head (or the wet end) with the two spires (Holy Trinity on the left and the Parish church on the right)
Ok so you have seen the shot previously, apologies for showing it again, but one of my contacts suggested some cutting and a bit of treatment to it, so I thought it was worth posting to see other peoples thoughts. Unusual fro me to alter images, but this was almost B&W in the first place, and the rest is a cut and twiddle in Picasa 3 to enhance the railings on the right
