Plan for Cruise ships to visit Cowes and beyond firming up
The Cruise ship business is considerable and valuable. VIoW and Cowes Harbour Commission are actively engaging them, laying out the benefits of visiting the Island. The enclosed map shows where Cruise ships will anchor while visiting Cowes.

Hovertravel visits Portsmouth Harbour in trials
Hovertravel carried out some trials this morning to see how the 12000 craft would operate in Portsmouth Harbour.

Hovertravel’s Island Flyer visited Portsmouth Harbour for the first time this morning.
Hovertravel’s Solent and Island Flyers are normally to be found crossing the Solent between Southsea and Ryde, but today one of the 12000 craft flew into the harbour for an inaugural visit and trial.

Popping down to the Thames for a lunch time swim
Police alerted after 'CROCODILE filmed in the River Thames
The Crocodile was filmed lurking among luxury houseboats on the River Thames!
A dog walker called police after filming a crocodile swimming around luxury houseboats in the River Thames this morning.
He posted the footage on Twitter which he says shows the giant reptile floating around Chelsea Harbour in west London, which is fed by the Thames.
Chris Davies says he filmed the creature just after 8am after he saw two men staring down at it.
