Sex Clams splits party

This incredible typo has inspired some truly great/awful puns

Alabama Republican Senate nomination Roy Moore has been accused of the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl four decades ago. 

The Republican was reported to have initiated a sexual encounter with the minor, 40 years ago when he was 32. 

The story was broken by the Washington Post last week during his campaign for the senate, voting for which will take place in a month. 

People have been reacting on Twitter to a typo in reporting on the story.

We're not sure what sex clams are and to be honest we don't want to find out.
