LR-19718_Feathered - Well regular stream viewers would have waded through a whole bunch of demolition shots in recent weeks, many thanks to all for your comments, feedback and fav’s. This (to the best of my knowledge) is the last sequential posting of the project. They maybe the odd one that pops up from time, but you should be able view some reasonable postings in the Swanmore School (aka Another brick in the wall) set. I suspect as the ground crews move in and the proposed housing estate gets under way additional images could be added.

The title of the set comes from the well-known tune by Pink Floyd; this composite image was inspired by the Pink Floyd The Wall film rather than the video. Preferred the ‘Brazil’ version as visually has more impact, perhaps closer to the Wikipedia entry on the “The Wall”. At the time the song and the video seemed to have a lot of impact, more recently I wonder if the political correctness we submit to now days, imposes more walls than it does towards breaking down the (to me) mythical barriers between the canonised structure that has been placed upon us, IMVHO.

Pure luck that I was popping the last few shots off when the fence was open and a boys (being boys) wandered into the site (just to test his mother) and I happened to push the button at that very moment, the added benefit the replacement school has the same colour uniform to (emblem removed). Being a youngster I could not publish his face, so adapted it slightly to be more fitting with the view to hand, dark clouds over the old classrooms. The shadow was included to give it a little something extra.

I am fairly new to Photoshop CS6 and have attempted to blend two images together with little success, for this one the layers of the boy were feathered in at 30/40 pixels to remove the harshness, plus smooth edges, comments, feedback and any tips would be really useful.
