LR-13796 - Grey cold and fairly depressing after our treat of sun for 3-4 days last week, busy clearing out the loft and putting more insulation in to keep the bills down, never really worked out if I get an ROI well at least the planet does using recycled something of the other so hope it works. Did look at sheep's wool at I keep being told it is the best. Remembered this from a couple of weeks ago.

_8_15073_8_15074_8_150735 - It's another one, probably if I had a £2,000 lens and a full plate it would have been one shot of a stem 1mm thick.
The lens is a Helios M44-M set at F2.8 and with the 35mm extension tubes gives around a 1/4 inch (5mm) Depth of Field.
Three images SOOC (apart from erasing the bits in the overlay) the head is made up of two of the images to get the front and back in reasonable focus, the third image is of the stem.
Taken freehand on quite a breezy day hence the wobble on the 0.5mm parts :) The background is a the dark brown workshop wood.

_8_14449_8_14450 - It's the weekend and a little time to play with Photoshop to hand stitch two images taken yesterday in the sun, yes the sun!
This is Appley Beach at Ryde in the distance right you can see the Appley tower folly
Quite pleased considering the difference in exposure, I like the composition but it does need a little bit more work and probably some more tweaking

LR-14209_14210 - Wish it was, hand stitched two images as the waterfall was more in the black hole of Calcutta than sunlit (never seen the sun on it).
The two images taken freehand whilst balancing on a little single bank, each with different FStop, ISO and shutter settings. Put together in PS CS6 and overall light tweaked in Lightroom 4.3.
Hopefully you can't quite work out the individual images
Probably the overall composition is junk, but wanted to work on something quite complex to see how it came out

So to conclude a bit of fun in the sun (but where is it). Yep the clouds where also other Culver Down, just 90 degrees the other way on another day :)

LR-BembridgeEmbankment-Study-2-2 - Well according to the Road Traffic Act 1968 there might not be, but don't forget the Right to Roam or is that swim.
To the right is embankment across Brading Haven In 1864, the Bembridge Railway, Tramway and Pier Act was passed by Parliament, authorising the construction of land-reclamation works and the building of a pier that trains from Brading use to trundle along and then return from the Bembridge terminus (used to have it's own turn table to) The various railway companies use to bring new rolling stock into Bembridge.
Once the line closed it was turned into a Toll road and then accepted by the IWCC as another access into Bembridge.
No Public Right of way makes me smile the land underneath the water has been drain for years, even as early as 1620. Citation
3 image panorama there is an eight version, but just much in someways. Slightly disappointed with the cloud reflections, but quite liked the composition, but then that's my opinion, what's yours

LR-13613 - Took a slight detour to navigate away round two bounding Great Dane's, so went off to discover a little pond that I had not seen before (mind you there are quite a few little ponds that have never been around before at the moment).

Thought I would have a sneaky go at some landscapes, basic camera no filters, realised the lens needs cleaning after jumping in the car and heading off to change the source on M.I.L TV so she could get the Sky channels.
Still think there is a little more to understand, but will be posting a few over the next few days to see what you all have to say about them (except perhaps for the spots)

LR-13165 - Another one from my ISO pushes in low or poor light, why it was windy and the light at the start of walk was good with a low winter sun bouncing into the lens, by the time this was taken the cloud cover had arrived.
A few tweaks in Adobe Light room, bit of grain but otherwise well pleased with the result

Got up loaded the washing machine, started it off and then thought hang on that's been running a while longer than normal, did I set the right program. Yep oh look there is an error message flashing on the panel, quick check and that's going to need an engineer then :(
I'll take the boys out, ok Mrs R replies, I'll hoover up whilst they are out the way
Got back to find the hoover by the back door. There was smoke coming out of it and it was making some really strange noises. Checked and it certainly done all those things, thanks boys
Oh by the way can you buy a new mop as well, Mrs R had picked the mop up, only to watch the head fall off :)
Result leads to checking the hoover is not blocked up, leading to dust dirt landing on the floor, something else to clean up now then :)

LR-13134 - Wondering around the woods with the boys, there are hundreds of these long grass heads of all different shapes and light. Took a few today as I normally do, nothing special or in particular, but even with a small breeze or heavy rain they seem very fragile, but in this state I they are delicate.

LR-Firestone_Panoramic_II_LightTouch - Still not sure I have got these right, but here's another. Looks quite nice on a big screen when you can see it all in detail :)
Original seven portrait shots, the two on the right where dropped as they contained Zeke (dog) in two different places, also very dark compare to the rest of the image, but may have worked as framing on the right.
Five shots (concept was to give more height), adjusted to hit the light in the middle of the landscape, not a cloudy day. Freehand
Firstly imported into Photoshop CS6 using the merge on the file drop down menu
Selecting Auto then selecting the batch of files
Once selected using the Blend Images together checked
Then let the PS CS6 engine do the blending, there are a number of good reports about the capabilities of this engine compared to previous versions.
Once happy with the mix, saved as a jpeg and loaded into Lightroom 4.3 see various adjustments in notes
