Eco-Ology, being Green

_1370742 - Lot of noise about the Isle of Wight wheelie bins and kitchen waste bins. Plus when you read the outside of the can, it's just for the Isle of Wight, nobody else in the world. I am pleased that the council is so diverse and looking beyond it's borders :(
The schedule of collection and the pretty leaflet that tells you when they will collect and what you can put in your array of three plastic buckets, is amazingly complex to, just to add to the fun.

Then the Isle of Wight was one of the first to have water meters installed (a few years ago), so these guys now want you to wash stuff before placing it in the bin. It takes 10 lbs of water to wash 1 lb of solids down the sewage. So instead of putting in landfill, we'll probably be putting in the sea in a diluted form.
Apart from having to almost bar code reading everything and checking the bin, but only eating certain things on certain weeks, we are now going to increase our water bills and use more of that valuable resource to achieve eco-ology.

Of course most of stuff that you put in this little beauty could go on your compost heap and some to feed the nature that's visits our gardens. I suspect that would be uncivilised though. Just imagine if a bird picks up a piece of carrot and drops it on the highway, you'll probably get a bill for littering :)

Any ways gave me an opportunity to have a go a shooting something shiny and green in the garden to practice light and focus.

Milk 'As Is'.......Just do it!

_1370184_JustDrinkIt - Brought a bottle of unpasteurized milk for the boys, from our favourite farm shop, the boys love it and every so often we get one for a treat. Zeke the Collie was from a working farm and used to get it almost straight from the cow, warm :)
This is part one or an addition to the assignment as this round the back of the shop in the assignment (work in progress). Not sure if this was Buttercup in the foreground, but she managed a similar pose to that on the bottle, took about six shots to get it mind.
Strange light as the clouds moved fairly fast and one minute the bottle was just right the next it wasn't, so this is an inbetweeny!

There is a shop (later) and a eatery Bluebells Cafe where you can watch Bluebell and her work college's doing their business, they also maintain a calf petting area on the same site. So a complete out of town shopping centre experience and factory all in one. Watch the world go buy, cute factor, food and drink, plus you can buy your vegetables and meat. Plus loads of other locally made goods and preserves. Then they also do Bed & Breakfast, accommodation as well, so a complete package.

Almost Square Centre

P1340219 - Oh so easy, pop out to the garden or somewhere, click shot of flower centre, back in for coffee. Day four after waiting three days to be in the right place at the right time for the sun, third day did get some shots, but the breeze and gust meant I didn't get what I wanted :(
Today, hurray, sun cloud cover every now and then in the two hour window, gentle breeze.
Yesterday I guest the width, but the actual opening as below is just under 10 mm on the widest point
This is about 1:170/180 magnification

Bit late getting the boys out for their walk, and the sun had already had enough for the day and was hidden behind complete cloud coverage as we drove towards the woods.

Grab your camera and walk 2 minutes in any direction. Stop. Find a photo worth making from where you stopped and post it.

This was two minutes into the walk after parking the car at the entrance and getting the boys out.
