Then we get cross with them because they stop the train from running or cause a road accident

Fairy steps
Draedaliopsis confragosa or part of the Polypores group Polyporus squamosus (Dryad's Saddle). Having had a look around the web and referring to my little mushroom handbook, there is no clear identification.
Based on the size of the steps, I like to think of them as fairy steps

Was just taking a nice still of a mushroom, when a fox appeared.
Sorry missed the fox and the mushroom, spinning round to grab the dog, before a chase took place, didn't realise the finger was on the button.
